Why quartz watch is more accurate than mechanical watch

The two are mainly different in structure. The quartz watch uses the quartz resonator 阼 as the time reference. The oscillation frequency of the quartz resonator is very high, generally 32768 Hz, while the oscillation frequency of the swing wheel hairspring of the mechanical watch is only 2.5~5 Hz. The higher the oscillation frequency, the more accurate the travel time, so the quartz watch has higher accuracy than the mechanical watch. In addition, the mechanical watch has a helix. When people string watches, the helix is also tightened. When the helix is released, it starts to drive the watch core to move. However, the speed of the spiral motion of the mechanical watch is inconsistent, which leads to the decline of the timing accuracy. Accuracy is also affected by such factors as temperature, location, wear of parts and other factors.
